Instepmusic now offers web site development

Instepmusic also offers web development. I specialize in WordPress and PHP web sites. WordPress is a popular content management system that allows the non programmer to easily change content on their web site. Rates range from $300-$15,000 for web site programming and design.

Below is a list of this sites I have developed.

www.omnivitenutrition.com
This site is for wholesalers who qualify to purchase
these products. I programmed this site so that the shopping cart
data is displayed only for qualified users.

some sql programming to get detailed sales reports.

www.nwnaturopath.com
I was given a design and had to program the wordpress theme
to the exact specs.

www.tulagems.com
This was my most challenging site. I used css to create an image map on the home page.
In addition I incorporated the magic-zoom plug-in to single product pages.
This site also uses the wp-ecommerce plugin. I have used this plug-in successfully
on many sites as a online shopping cart solution. I charged $1500.00 to create this
dynamic wordpress site based off the mock design from a graphic artist.

www.portlandjazzpianist.com
This is a site that I created to help promote my passion for jazz piano.
This site features a new artist every month with audio samples, slide show.
and small bio. It also features a social network plugin called Mingle that is
a micro version of facebook. In addition, the site features a directory of musicians.

management system so my client can easily update page content from the wordpress
admin area.

www.lynndarroch.com
This a PHP site had many static pages that I was able to make dynamic. This involved
some difficult php coding. It also uses wordpress as the content management system.

www.mimusicadeoaxaca.com

dynamically generated drop down menus and audio samples associated with the artist.
I also created a login area for artists to check sales records.

Some famous encounters on stage.

As I am looking back in my music career, it is always fun to remember some of the times I was able to perform with world class musicians.

While attending Sunset High school in Beaverton Oregon, my jazz band was invited to perform a concert for the non profit organization called grammy in the schools. We did a concert with 3 grammy award winning artists that included Brenda Russell, George Howard, and Stix Hooper of the Crusaders.
It was an absolute life changing moment to play piano with these amazing artists.

Another memorable encounter was when I was playing a trio gig at the Tigard Oregon jazz festival with some amazing local, or should I say, world class musicians. The musical line-up included bassist Tim Gilson, and Drummer, Charlie Doggett. One of the audience members on the break asked me if her friend could sit in on a tune. I was a bit skeptical when she said that he was the world’s most recorded drummer. It turned out to be Bernard Purdie who sat in a played on the tune Groove Merchant with me.

Whenever I get the chance to train with world champion runners or play the piano with world class musicians, I feel like I am elevated to another level or transported into another dimension.

My track coach, Dr. Ken Forman, once told me “Surround yourself with champions and you have a greater chance of becoming one”.

Musical Getting Rave Reviews

Scott Jackman, of Seattle Washington, has put together a funny and scary musical for kids. So far there has only been positive feedback on the music that was arranged by Jonathan Swanson. You probably won’t believe that most of the instrumental music was created on just one midi-keyboard adding one instrument at a time. You can preview some of the songs from the musical at http://www.myspace.com/seascottrun the music features some amazing talent including Featuring 2009 Grammy Winner Phillip Lawson of the Kings Singers, Leif Norby, Lindsay Michelet, Bobby Jackson, Pere Soto, Jonathan Swanson, and Scott Jackman.

Below are some highlights from a live script reading of the Seattle Rep, Boogyman musical.
